Head of Fundraising

Thank you very much for your interest in Royal Blind. This newly created role of Head of Fundraising is instrumental to our planned growth as a charity, as we embark upon a new organisational strategy to further expand our service provision for people living with sight loss across Scotland. This role leads the fundraising team within the Marketing and Communications department.

We have a long and proud history as one of Scotland’s oldest and most established charities, having celebrated our 225th anniversary in 2018. Today we run modern, cutting edge services for people with sight loss of all ages from our bases in Edinburgh and Paisley.

2019 is going to be a year of transformation and expansion for Royal Blind and fundraising leadership and success is key to that. The number of people living with sight loss is set to more than double in the next few decades due to an ageing population. Our mission is more important than ever before and we have ambitions to significantly grow our fundraising to increase our reach and develop more much needed services.

We are seeking an ambitious and inspiring fundraising leader who can develop a new strategy for transformational income generation over the next five years and beyond. The Head of Fundraising will be at the forefront of developing new income streams to enable our charity to grow and to setting targets and resources accordingly.

If this sounds like a challenge you would like to take on, we would love to hear from you.

Yours faithfully

Davina Shiell
