Head of Funding for Edinburgh Leisure

Location: Meadowbank Sports Centre Head Office.  This post is based in an open plan office environment, with travel to our venues throughout Edinburgh as required. Hybrid working is supported, as some of the work can be delivered from home.

Salary: £45,642 – £50,712 (Pay Review in April 23).

Reporting into: Director of People and working closely with the Director of Wellbeing.

Working week: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (35.75 hrs)

As Head of Funding, you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of EL’s Funding Strategy to help us improve people’s health, wellbeing, and quality of life.  External funding enables us to deliver our charitable purpose and make a bigger impact, and it currently sits at around £1m per annum.  You will advise, guide, and represent Edinburgh Leisure on all aspects of funding.

You will maintain current and develop new funding partnerships that support the organisation’s activities and ambitions.

You will lead and support, as appropriate, the sourcing and maintenance of external funding from a variety of sources including statutory bodies, grant-giving trusts, national agencies, corporate donors, individuals, online giving and employee fundraising.
