The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit an Information and Data Analyst based in our headquarters in Dunfermline but predominantly working from home.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year. As an Information and Data Analyst you will support in the delivery of business intelligence and analysis. This role is key to supporting operational and strategic planning and decision making across the Society and will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to inform evidence based decision making to support our work in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in Scotland.

To take an active role in the scoping, development and implementation of management information reports and dashboards to support the strategic planning process at the Scottish SPCA.

To source and supply accurate, timely and insightful management information and data for Senior Managers and other key stakeholders to inform evidence based decisions and strategies regarding the Society’s organisational performance.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about animal welfare.

Reporting to our Head of Customer Experience & Business Change, the successful candidate will support development and provision of regular reporting and carry out analysis on a variety of topics, supplying information and data for Senior Managers and other key stakeholders across the Society. The role involves working in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation and being engaged in a wide variety of projects and responsive topics year to year, providing lots of opportunities to learn and develop.

We are seeking candidates with demonstrable experience in analysing large data sets and extracting quantitative insights to inform decision making and development of reporting and analysis tools. In addition, you will have highly developed working knowledge of marketing and ecommerce analytics and data tools such as Excel, Google Analytics and Tableau.

You will be customer focussed, collaborative and friendly in your approach; with the ability to support the development of data literacy skills amongst colleagues and demonstrate a focus on continuous improvement.

The position is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will predominantly work from home but will be required to commute to Dunfermline on an ad hoc basis. A UK driving licence is essential as travel to our various centres will also be required from time to time.
