*Additional hours may be required to meet the exigencies of the organisation, and this may include evenings and weekends including rotational emergency senior management on call.

AWS Charity Jobs are delighted to be working in partnership with Hansel to appoint their Operations Lead Manager. Hansel provide a range of services to assist people with additional support needs, and their families, to make the most of life each and every day. Their approach is to deliver the right support; for an individual to feel empowered, to find their voice, and experience equality, choice, dignity and respect.

To provide values-led motivational management support in development, performance and continuous improvement of person centred supports for our local operational management teams (hereafter “Operations”)

To perform the principle leadership role as required from time to time in the absence of the Director.

To provide positive leadership by example and promote values – lead delivery of core commitments to people we support, team members, supporters and stakeholders at all times.

Working as a senior practitioner in the wider management team, to provide positive, constructive and informed technical and management support and guidance, to identify practice strengths, explore workable solutions and develop management teams abilities to deliver strategic objectives, contractual obligations, organisational goals and meet future challenges.

  • To act as a positive leadership role model and reinforce organisational and ethical values, behaviours, and codes of conduct.
  • To lead, collaborate, resource and support the management of all Operations in a truly person-centred way, and in line with agreed goals, values, regulatory and quality frameworks, funding, and priorities.
  • To prepare operational contributions for the Director, board meetings, colleagues, partners etc.
  • To present, influence and raise issues insightfully, and in an informed way manage risk to ensure effective decision making and good governance.
  • To engage and communicate effectively with leaders, team members, stakeholders, and partners in a manner that fosters partnership working and person-centred thinking.
  • To lead, contribute to and enable compliance in a range of key social care business processes such as internal quality assurance, contract monitoring, regulation, tendering and employment relations.
  • To develop productive and proactive external and internal relationships, acting as an ambassador, facilitating the positive recognition of Hansel as a provider and employer of choice.
