Who’s who at the Scottish Charity Awards 2019
Charity workers across Scotland are dusting off their dresses and turning out their tuxes ready for one of the sector’s biggest events. This year’s Scottish Charity Awards features 44 finalist organisations and individuals, ranging from Dundee International Women’s Centre to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Up for the coveted Charity of the Year category are the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, Young Enterprise Scotland, Drake Music Scotland, Maggie’s, the Scottish Cot Death Trust and Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.
The 2019 Charity Champion finalists are Eleanor Moffat from Breast Cancer Now & Breast Cancer Care, Shona MacKenzie from Macmillan Cancer Support, Robin Barr from Music in Hospitals and Care Scotland, and Support in Mind Scotland’s Laura Reid.
Other awards up for grabs include Cracking Campaign, Charity Champion, Pioneering Project, Leading Light, Celebrating Communities, Terrific Trustee and the People’s Choice Award. There’s also the Demonstrating Digital prize, featuring state of the art work like ENABLE Scotland’s assisted travel app and RNIB’s Online Today project, which helped nearly 10,000 blind and partially sighted people get online.
If you want to get involved and help your favourite organisation get the recognition it deserves, vote in the People’s Choice Award.
